Deed of mortgage
Most buyers will need a bank loan to buy a house. In a deed of mortgage, the mortgage loan with your bank is recorded. In return for the mortgage granted to you, the bank asks for security in the form of a mortgage right.
This means that your house serves as collateral for the bank. This gives the bank the right, if you do not meet your payment obligations, as a last resort to sell the house and to pay the outstanding loan from the proceeds.
When you have a mortgage deed drawn up with us, we will check whether all requirements set by the bank and the law are met, to ensure that you can buy the house with the bank loan. The notary will go through and discuss the mortgage deed with you. After the mortgage deed has been discussed, approved and signed by everyone, it will be registered in the public registers of the Land Registry. When this process has been completed, the mortgage is officially in your name.

- The amount of the mortgage;
- The description of the property, the collateral;
- The mortgage interest rate that must be paid;
- The method of repayment of the mortgage;
- A (possible) obligation to insure the property;
- The general terms and conditions of the bank.
