Foundation
A foundation must be established through a notarial deed. This can be done with an act of incorporation or through a testament. A foundation is a legal entity and possesses full legal capacity, being an independent holder of rights and obligations, just like a natural person.
Association
You can establish an association through a private document and through a notarial deed. A visit to the notary is not necessary, but in many cases, it is advisable.
