Interpreters at Marks Wachters
More and more people are coming to the Eindhoven region from abroad to work here for companies such as Philips, ASML, Neways, NXP, VDL and other companies with employees from different countries. Often these employees run into a language problem when they come to the notary. They are not proficient in the Dutch language and therefore it is difficult to understand which documents they need to have with them, what exactly they are signing and what consequences this has.
Interpreters
We use our interpreters when foreign clients purchase a house in the Netherlands or enter into a financing arrangement, or when entrepreneurs wish to establish a company in the Netherlands and the founder is not proficient in Dutch or English. Although the deeds are drawn up in the Dutch language, an interpreter is present during the execution of the deeds to convey the content of the deeds to the foreign clients.
At Marks Wachters notaries, we believe it is important that our clients know what documents they are signing, what the consequences are and that our clients are well informed about them. In our opinion, it is therefore essential that if a client does not speak the Dutch language, he is informed in a language that he understands and thus has knowledge of the content of the documents he is signing and what the consequences are. That is why we have specialized in providing services to non-Dutch-speaking clients in the drafting of deeds and other documents, and with us the discussions can take place in these languages as our firm has the best network of interpreters and translators.
